Forecasting, Current 8th graders

 

Welcome to IBW 9th Grade FORECASTING 

for the 26-27 School Year!

Follow these steps to successfully choose your classes for next year.
We are excited for you to join the IBW community!

Step 1: Listen to the IBW counselors presentation at your middle school in mid-January or review this Slide Deck or Slide Deck with Video

Step 2: Review the 2026-27 Freshman Forecasting Worksheet and see which courses are required and what electives are available to you. This is for reference only. This will NOT be turned in.

Step 3: Consult the 2026-2027 Interactive Course Guide on our website to read about each course that interests you. 

Step 4: Fill out the forecasting Google Form with your class choices.

You will primarily be choosing electives, support classes or world language courses. Core classes will be automatically assigned to you. 

The Google Form is the only way that your class choices are recorded for next year. 

Step 5: Submit the Google Form by January 22 

Step 6: Counselors will return to Robert Gray and Jackson January 21 & 22 to review and finalize your choices. 

Counselors will visit Access, Odyssey and Cottonwood in mid-January as well to meet with students and review the forecasting materials. Students from these schools and other middle schools (besides RGMS and Jackson) should complete their google form by Jan. 22.

If you attend another middle school  that we are not visiting in person please follow the directions above and have your Google Form completed by January 22. Also, please ensure that you are enrolled at our school for next year. You can find information on the enrollment and transfer website for PPS.  Please see below for more information.

If you have reviewed the forecasting information and have remaining questions, please reach out to your IBW counselor. We are assigned students by last name.

ENROLLMENT

If you haven't enrolled for the 2026-2027 School Year, you will enroll through the PPS Enrollment Page. See below.

1) If your student has previously attended a PPS school at any time in the past, you will need to click the "Returning Student" tab and fill out a paper registration form.

2) If your student has never attended any PPS school in the past, click the "New Student" tab and complete online enrollment (available in early March). However, if you want to complete the registration prior to the online registration opening, you can go to the "Returning Student" tab and click on the Student Registration Form, fill it out, and email it to Sharon Dailey; sdailey@pps.net.
