Bennon, Brady

Brady Bennon

Brady Brennon has been a U.S. history teacher for three years at Ida B. Wells High School. Bennon grew up in Tucson, Arizona, and moved to the state of Washington to attend Whitman College. With a sports and academic scholarship, he earned his Bachelor's degree in political science and environmental studies with a  minor in Spanish. He says, “Students are kind, appreciative and hard-working.” This motivates him to keep teaching. Before his career in education, Bennon worked in a non-profit organization to get salmon off the endangered species list. His adventurous spirit led him to travel across the country, engaging with communities to raise awareness and encourage action on this critical issue. The bond with others made him realize his passion for working with younger individuals, as they can be more open-minded and willing to let outside voices share their ideas. Outside of school, he enjoys riding his bike, watching soccer and rafting.
