Brittney Jenkins

This is Brittney Jenkins’s 9th year as an educator at Ida B. Wells. She is originally from Renton, Washington. She teaches AP Calculus AB and Advanced Algebra 3-4, as well as coaching the JV2 girls soccer team. Jenkins loves to read and is always getting recommendations from students, especially if they’re fantasy. She attended Long Island University, Western Oregon University and Concordia University, where she received a Bachelor’s in mathematics and a Master’s in education. During college she played lots of soccer, at the intramural and division one level, and was involved in the math club. Jenkins loves the community of IBW and wants her students to always have confidence and conviction. “If you always carry those two things around, you’ll find yourself trying new things, and you won’t have, I guess, fomo or regret. Just go in and have a good time,” said Jenkins.
