Derek MacDicken

Derek MacDicken grew up in Southwest Portland. He fell in love with teaching while working a summer job at a science camp. This will be his 23rd year teaching. Outside of class, MacDicken enjoys all things nature. This includes hiking, bird watching and other outdoor activities. “The world is so beautiful and amazing…It would be a waste to not see it and understand it,” said MacDicken.
