Jamie Miller

Jamie Miller has worked at Ida B. Wells for 19 years, and plans to stay for 10 more. He teaches theater but is also great at social studies and enjoys his job here at Ida B. Wells. Miller says one of his strengths is to see the world in the perspectives of others, which is why he loves to teach theater. Outside of school, he likes to spend time with his family and his cat, Luna. He’s traveled to Spain just to see his son's soccer game, and has visited Florida, Texas, Washington, and Oklahoma.  “[Here there are] warm and inviting students, yet there's plenty of challenges to keep [teaching] interesting,” he says. Miller describes his style of teaching as “letting folks explore through their work.”
