Pine, Michael

For the last eleven years, Michael Pine has been a full-time teacher, eight of which he spent at Ida B. Wells.. Pine grew up in Salem, Oregon and attended college in New York before moving back to Portland. By pursuing teaching, Pine followed in the footsteps of his parents, who were both educators. “I like the idea of being able to pass along what it means to be a good citizen and help shape the next generation,” said Pine. His hobbies include outdoor activities like hiking and canoeing.
