Jay Rishel

Jay Rishel has been working at Ida B. Wells for seven years and works as the freshman success team lead and coach. “The chance to get to work with many of my colleagues on their craft, and to support ninth graders in their transition to high school both academically, socially, and emotionally” is what makes Rishel love his job. Outside of the classroom, Rishel can be found cycling, rock climbing, hiking, and watching movies with his family. His favorite movie is 8½ by Federico Fellini.
