Walmer, Steve

Steve Walmer has been a teacher for 37 years, 14 of which at Ida B. Wells. He grew up in Southwest Portland. He attended Portland State University for a few years and Oregon State University for four, where he majored in education and minored in industrial arts. Outside of school, he likes to play fast-pitch softball and build with woods and metals. “I like to build with woods and metals and anything I can work with,” said Walmer.
