Wonder, Annaleah

Annaleah Wonder

Annaleah Wonder teaches physics and chemistry at Ida B. Wells. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon Wonder did dance, choir and theater in high school. She did her undergrad at University of Oregon, did her masters at Northwestern University and her masters in teaching at Western Governors University. Outside of school, she takes care of her kids Jack and Lucy, teaches musical theater dance at Yellow Rose and enjoys singing and hiking. Wonder loves the students here at IBW because of how engaged they are, and the staff because of how much they care about student growth and achievement. Wonder loves to teach science because of how important it is for students. “It’s really important to me to get students to have a healthy respect for science and nature and the natural world around them,” said Wonder. “So that whatever they become later they can have this appreciation and vote for science. So we can keep moving forward in a positive manner as humans.”
